The Churning of the Seas is an amazing story from Hindu mythology about life unfolding, including the challenges and rewards of work and dedication. The Devas (good peoples) and the Asuras (not so good people) both want the amṛt, the nectar of immortality. They bond together to churn the seas (the ocean of consciousness) and out come gifts reminding us of our life’s spiritual journey.
The session will start with a yogāsana practice where we will do an āsana for each of the ‘things’ arising from the sea. It will be followed by a discussion on the meaning of each ‘offering’ and sharing how we have probably already experienced our own version of the gifts.
