Yoga Nidrā is the Science of Yogic Sleep, but not in the sense of sleep that you get at night. The mind has different levels of vibrations, one which keeps us very alert and externally focused, other layers of brain waves take us into quiet zones, and one even enters into sleeping with conscious awareness.

Conscious awareness! The Spirit works on an awareness level which means it observes or witnesses life without judgment. It notes experiences as “just what is.” Yoga Nidrā has been around for millennium. In the practice of yoga nidrā, we learn tools to guide people toward calming the fluctuations of the mind so one can enter the state of conscious awareness. Conscious awareness within this period of rest is the yoga sleep where Yoga Nidrā gets its name. Much like the deep sleep and rest that you might get at night, Yoga Nidrā provides this with conscious awareness.

The course teaches a foundational toolbox to use. This allows a teacher to guide Yoga Nidrā in a yoga class. You will learn the basics for using Yoga Nidrā for health and wellness. This is a training for advanced practitioners on the delivery of yoga nidra. In-person attendance is required for the instructor to observe your delivery of the practice.

3-punch handouts provided. Bring your own notebook or folder.
