Pregnancy Complications and Yoga Therapy

$300.00 Early Bird discount

The workshop is designed to introduce yoga therapists to the basic complications a woman may have during pregnancy.  Our work focuses on the mother and her wellbeing as she experiences many ongoing changes each month. It is important to understand anatomically what is happening from a western and āyurveda perspective. Yoga Teachers and Therapists can then adapt yoga tools to address any complications the mother may experience and know when to send them for proper medical care.  We will learn to adapt āsana and integrate prānāyāma, meditation, bonding, mudrā, sounding, and other yoga tools to address the mother’s health during pregnancy, childbirth, and post birth recuperation time, specifically when complications arise.   Students are required to submit a presentation exhibiting the application of tools learned.
