Taking a case is done through several tools: intake paper form, discussion of the intake information, gathering additional pertinent information for the case and a physical assessment of the client. It is also important to tap into a client’s emotional, social and spiritual skills if they are open to exploring the inner dimension and “story” of their disease.

In this workshop, we will explore a tool that we call Yoga Nidra Svadyayam. The tool is based on Yoga Nidra, where you tap into the sensations of the body and allow the sensations to reveal the inner dimension of the dis-ease or life experience that is limiting the blossoming of the client. From here, the yoga therapist can fine tune tools to personalize the protocol for the client.

The guidelines for staying present for the client is a personal learning experience for the practitioner. We will review self-care tools for the therapist as we dive into the Spiritual dimension of our personal triggers and sensitivities.
