In this course:

In this introduction to ayurveda, we will begin with a basic discussion on dosha.  More important, we will discuss about how “all disease starts in the intestines” — a compromise of what ayurveda calls agni.  This is influenced by lifestyle and diet.
Through discussing the basics, we will make life-giving ghee, a cup of chai and kitchari.  Then, while eating some of the food and sipping tea, we will discuss conscious eating through exploring the six tastes in our kitchari.
What a great way to explore ayurveda . . . through the practical application of the premises in our daily diet . . . and understanding why.  Take home some tools you can start incorporating right away into your daily life.  You will get ideas on how to adjust your diet by exploring the needs of the dosha to maintain agni and incorporating the six tastes into your daily diet.
